Use your phone/tablet to easily readout SICards and arrange simple events.

SI-Droid Event is an app that makes it possible to arrange simple orienteering events with SportIdent without having to bring a computer for the SICard readout. Just bring your mobile phone or tablet instead plus an SI Master and you are ready to readout the results from the runners cards. The SI Master is connected directly to the device with an USB OTG (On the Go) cable that can be easily found in many electronic or mobile phone stores for less than €10. Here are some examples: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/field-keywords=usb%20otg%20cable.The app also has support for some serial-to-USB converters if you want to connect to an SI Master with a serial interface. If you have a Bluetooth receipt printer available, you can also print the split times of the runners when they are being readout. From China/Ebay it is possible to buy a cheap printer for about €50.NOTE: There also exist a Lite version of SI-Droid Event which has some limitations. Please start with installing that version to make sure that your device is capable of communicating with the SI Master. Most of the newer devices supports this but there can be exceptions. More information about which devices and printers that are supported can be found on the web site: http://www.joja.seFeatures of SI-Droid Event✓ Supports most SI Masters (BSM7 and BSM8) set to Read SI cards mode. Absolutely Brilliant. Helpful and responsive developer. * the auto results updates to file (in V1.15) allows 'live results' to a website using powerFTP 😊.

Great app. Makes it so easy so arrange orienteering trainings and smaller competitions. Easy to export the results to Eventor. Love the capability to "guess" the right course if a runner based on the punch history.

Go and buy this app! Best investion for every couch or club organizing Orienteering events with SportIdent system. Best functions are local hotspot results and data import/export. Application proved its funcionality in small trainings and even bigger events (300 runners). Thing to move this app forward would be ability to work on one event(database) from more devices in realtime (eg. one mobile for event registration, two for readouts...). Developer super helpful, when there was a small problem two years ago, he responded immediately and helped me to solve it. Just hit Buy & Thanks me later for recommendation xD

Got it working easily and had real time results at the first event on my tablet. After a little delving into the details I got the courses imported from CONDES (also 5star), html results published to internet in real time using UpDog server and also creating a local network to serve results at the event without internet service.
